Transgender people are individuals whose gender identity does not match their assigned sex at birth. transgender people may identify as male, female, or non-binary. transgender people may also use pronouns other than “he/him” or “she/her.” All transgender people deserve to live their lives with dignity and respect. However, the transgender community still faces significant discrimination. transgender people are more likely to experience poverty, violence, and unemployment.
